THE INDIA STATE STORY

As per our MOU with PRS India all content created is meant for open access and public distribution. In this spirit, Prof. Shivakumar Jolad and researcher and data journalist Mehr Kalra have developed the India State Stories project over three years. This is a one-of-its-kind project which aims to trace the broader political and administrative history of India from the Colonial period (start of Indian Census in 1872) to present by mapping transitions in admin boundaries, time series analysis and linking with political history.
